We are hosting this picnic to reunite former and current residents of Bracewell and to collect historical pictures and stories of the Bracewell area to memorialize the community.

The settlement of Bracewell was established around 1882 as a railroad station on the Colorado and Southern Railroad. Former businesses and schools included the Bracewell School, the Bracewell Sugar Beet Dump, and the Bracewell Store.

Wow! What an amazing day! We were honored to host the Homeschool Day at the Farm yesterday in partnership with the Town of Windsor Museums/Windsor Parks, Recreation & Culture and the Windsor-Severance Historical Society! Museum Staff had stations to learn about beekeeping, create a quilt block, and identify the mountain ranges from the Sky Deck! Cache la Poudre River National Heritage Area had a fantastic irrigation demonstration. There was a special appearance by Rattlesnake Kate courtesy of the Poudre Learning Center along with a special beaver who stopped by to educate kids on his habitat! Did I mention the hay ride around the PLC Foundation's Hall 133 property? The fall colors were amazing and the kids got to see turkeys strolling around and deer tracks! Davis Family Livestock brought three charming, woolly sheep and had all kinds of info on wool and spinning! Our Farm Spokes Pumpkin, Billy Bob Joe, even stopped by! West Greeley Conservation District provided a bunch of great educational materials and there were free mini pumpkins from Tigges Farm. Thank you to Kristi Martin for sewing all the goodie bags! Did I mention the Severance FFA students?! They were amazing and helped keep everything moving! We had over 200 people visit the farm! A big thank you to everyone who made this day a success!
