We took a field trip to Stone Crafters in Denver. We had a nice tour of the fabrication facility. They have it organized from receiving to loading and installation. We saw big saw and polishers plus huge slabs of Granite and quartz. They gave us some samples and scraps also. We all loved the tour as you will see in one of the pictures.

We had our September field trip to Shirley Basin Wyoming. We had 20 people and Lucy the rockhound. Everybody found lots of rocks. Drusy, Botryoidal Calcedony, Jaspers, Dendritic Chert and Petrified Wood. The weather was nice a few drops of rain and it was Wyoming so the wind blew some. Lots of Antilope, Eagles and other wildlife. On the way back we stopped to look at the fossil cabin in Medicine Bow. It is covered with over 6000 pieces of Fossil Dinosaur bone.

Yesterday the club had a great rock hounding adventure. Many great rocks were found. We had people of all ages. Parker pictured here found this huge beautiful boulder. We all wished be could bring home. It is labradorite. His dad found a nice Smokey quarts.

We had a great field trip with the Cheyenne club to Plumbago Canyon. The weather was good but a little windy. (It is Wyoming) Everyone found lots of Labradorite and Jasper and many other rocks. We had a total of 37 people and 1 dog (Lucy the Rockhound)
