At Hugo Kohl, we use historic steel dies and traditional die-striking techniques to bring beautiful, vintage-inspired designs to life.

Each die carries an intricate pattern that is pressed directly into solid precious metal, capturing delicate flowers, fine textures, and ornamental details that make every design special.

The Scrollvine Band features a continuous pattern of curling vines and stylized leaves, framed by delicate beaded borders.

Vines have long been associated with growth, connection, and enduring bonds. Their intertwining, continuous form makes the motif especially fitting for a wedding band—a symbol of two lives continuing to grow together.

But the story isn't only in the design. Each Scrollvine Band is created using historic die-striking techniques, pressing the intricate pattern directly into solid precious metal to preserve its depth and fine detail.

Made in small batches in our Harrisonburg, Virginia workshop using traditional jewelry-making techniques.

Same ring. Two completely different looks. ✨

Both of these rings are sterling silver and feature the exact same design—the difference is **oxidation**.

During the oxidation process, the entire ring is darkened and then carefully polished. The raised surfaces return to bright silver, while the recessed areas remain darker, creating contrast that brings out every intricate detail of the design.

The result? One design with two distinct finishes.
