As some of you know by now I have retired and this organization has ceased operations as of August 5, 2025. The page itself will continue on but I am no longer promoting due to ongoing health issues.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Will try to be on here more often as much as possible.

Thank you to all for the support.

Hello all; thanks for stopping by and viewing this page. I have not been on here much but thanks to some technologies with Macintosh I am able to get on here occasionally.

As many of you know I have been forced into retirement due to vision loss so my time here is limited. I will make it a point to come on here and post significant events as I do on another platform as much as I can.

With that said I hope you are in the holiday spirit as the season is officially under way beginning with Columbus Day in the United States and Thanksgiving Day in Canada last Monday. Next up is Halloween followed by Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving Day in the United States.

Be safe everyone and will be back soon.

As many of you know by now, or does not know, I officially retired due to health issues back in the middle part of 2024. As a result I am no longer a full time promoter, however I will come in from time to time to promote a few things;

For almost 42 years, with some interruptions her and there, I have provided you all with some events, promoted sports, and done just about everything in between. I still do through another platform providing traffic and weather updates for both the Las Vegas Valley and the Southern California region.

For you young ones out there, 42 years go by very quickly so don't waste precious time and go for what comes your way. I am very fortunate to have been successful both in Las Vegas and in Los Angeles, and will always treasure those days in both cities.

Soon I will be 58, and it is indeed time to enjoy the remaining years I have as best as I can.

Thank you to all who have been a part of my journey - from the time I began promoting officially in March 1983 all the way to the end in May 2024.

God bless to all!

So the 50-year all classes reunion is tonight. I am definitely proud to be a part of those first 50 classes that have walked out with diplomas beginning with the Class of 1975.

A lot has changed there over these past 5 decades; in the beginning there were no homes surround the campus except on the south side off Harris between Christy and Linn Lanes. And of course the school didn't have all of those add ons like they do today.

Just want to give my salute to all of these classes including my very own (Class of 1985), and to the teachers, staff and faculty for their dedication and work, and to all of the coaches who helped make Eldorado a great success in a variety of sports especially with wrestling. I am happy to say that we do have at least one state title in basketball, football and baseball, plus numerous wrestling championships during Coach May's era and one from Coach Marifino when he was filling in for Coach May.

Although there is a new era with Eldorado, I want to say to the Classes of 2025, 26, 27 and 28, to continue doing what you're doing so you can achieve greater success in the future like I have during my 39 year career in a variety of roles.

God Bless to all.

It may be a different mascot but I will say it... GO SUNDEVILS!!!

1,432 days to L.A. 28!

There you go! I may be inactive and done but I have one more bit of promoting left.

The plan was to help promote the events and provide the going ons in Los Angeles up to the opening of the games.

As you know I am not currently there but I do know that Mayor Bass has the Olympic flag and the city is already starting work towards the games. A lot to get done no doubt but thankfully most of the facilities used from 1984 and even 1932 are still there.

Swimming will be at SoFi Stadium - there is a swim stadium adhacent to the Coliseum but I don't think it wasw used for the 84 games. Basketball I hope will be at Staples Center or that new one in Inglewood. Not sure about boxing - it was at the now defunct Sports Arena. The Olympic Auditorium would be an ideal place but it is mostly used as a church. Hudo, which Jeanie Clarke is very familiar with, was at Cak State K,A, I believe in 84; not sure if it will be there again. Track of course at the Coliseum, football or soccer would be in a few places - namely the Rose Bowl, that place where the Galaxy play and the stadium where the Sports Arena used to be at Expo Park.

Several other sports - cycling, volleyball, gymnastics, and everyting else.

A lot to get done which I will touch on from time to time.

You folks in Los Angeles get ready - four years go by very quick!

For you folks in the Las Vegas Valley be aware of a weekend closure on the southbound side of the 15 Freeway between Flamingo Road and the 215 beltway for that Pave-A-Thon project starting at 9 PM this evening and lasting until 5 in the morning on Monday.

Detours will be posted but definitely plan on using north south roads like Dean Martin Drive, Decatur, Las Vegas Blvd South or Paradise Road. I would add Valley View Blvd to the list but having been away for so long I am not sure if that goes through now but that is also an option if you know these areas like I do.

Excessive Heat Watch which may eventually be a warning before I am done posting this message, is in effect from 10 AM Sunday through 9 PM Tuesday.

The new school year will be starting up soon so be aware of that. You know it used to start a week before Labor Day - what happened to that???

Dodgers and soon-to-be Las Vegas Athletics this weekend in Oakland.

Have a safe weekend everyone!

The long SigAlert on the 15 freeway northbound at post mile 113.5 was cancelled around 4 AM this morning. All northbound and southbound lanes are now open between Baker and Barstow.

CalTrans, CHP, SBD County FD and others were able to remove the big rig and the hazardous materials and cleaned up the area. Road repairs may be needed which can be done in the overnight hours.

Be safe on the drive back to the SoCal region.

Anyone planning to come to Las Vegas from southern California needs to allow extra travel time until further notice due to a freeway closure on the I-15 south of Baker. A big rig overturned yesterday morning and caused a fire and a HAZMAT situation between Afton Road and Basin Road south of Baker. CalTrans tweeted that the northbound 15 remains closed for an unknown duration - southbound lanes are open but were closed at one time.

I have many SoCal friends who follow me on here and I do want to caution them on this closure and plan to take the eastbound 40 towards Needles then US-95 north all the way to Interstate 11 .

The 15 northbound is also closed from Warm Springs Road to Flamingo Road until 5 AM Monday with that pave a thon going on, so expect some big time delays on the surface streets like Las Vegas Blvd South, Valley View, Paradise/University Center, Eastern, St. Rose Pkwy and others. Ditto for the 11 Freeway as heavier than normal traffic may come through Henderson as the result of that SigAlert in Baker.

Drive safe everyone!
