Just created this necklace out of green amethyst and tiny blue topaz. I mixed several cool 14k gold filled chains and voila. I have this cool new machine for soldering metals and Im excited to use it!!

Celebrating 10 years of this particular design today.

I kept one for myself — but yes, I can still create something in this spirit.

This is one of many body chains I have designed since 2007, long before they became a familiar sight on red carpets, in fashion editorials, and at events.

Back then, body jewelry was not something you saw everywhere. I was creating bold, unconventional pieces that not many women were brave enough to wear — and body chains became one of the signature designs that made Avaasi Jewelry recognizable.

I remember looking around Chicago, New York, Los Angeles and Miami and rarely seeing anyone wearing jewelry like this — except my own clients and the exceptional, carefully selected boutiques that carried my collections.

Nearly two decades later, body chains are everywhere.

And that is one of the things I love most about being a designer: creating from instinct, not from trends.

Some designs disappear with time. Others become part of fashion history.

This one will always be a little piece of mine.

Celebrating 10 years of this particular design — and nearly two decades of creating jewelry that was never meant to be ordinary.
