So sexy! What a challenge and what an incredible accomplishment with award winning results! When others would just follow the ground and make a fence work, we focused on keeping a clean look along the top while countering the undulations and rolls and dips throughout the entire yard. Some areas of this fence reach a little over 5’ in height, while a few spots maintain a minimum of a 44” in height. The goal was to keep as much height as possible while not having the fence just fall off through the swales. All we can say is wow! When others wouldn’t do this- we did. When others wouldn’t take the extra time to make this happen- we did. When others wanted simple- we accepted a challenge but still focused on a fence that is safe, secure and effective all while still being visually beautiful. What others weren’t willing to do- we did. We had a vision of what was possible and we made it happen!!

We did a big tear out at the property. Then we followed it up getting the new posts set and prepped. We had to avoid a few underground utilities but also the old French drains and drain tiles. We worked through things smoothly and have everything ready for the completion next week. This will be a beautiful cedar scalloped picket fence. Stay tuned to see the pics on another gorgeous fence.

And that’s a wrap. Another beautiful 6’ cedar picture frame is complete and blends in seamlessly with the black ornamental. Everything turned out great and we are excited to show off this project. We turned the back yard over to the homeowner so they can complete their back yard renovation.

The finished project. A beautiful 6’ tall cedar privacy fence is done. The request by the owner was absolutely no concrete on the job and to use only wood and create as much of a natural feel as possible. Once the cedar transitions it will go to a natural silver/gray patina and fall in line with the owners end plans visually. The bird viewing pad is also cedar privacy and finished at 36” tall. The absolute cool part for this is to allow the access to the area via wheelchairs and still be able to see over the fence yet keep everyone safe from rolling off the pad and not getting stuck. This is a cool park/project for the community and we are excited to be a small part of the plans.

When I founded this company nearly 18 years ago my goal was to pursue a career that allowed me to enjoy my passion. While achieving financial success is beneficial, my ultimate aim has always been to have a million satisfied homeowners. A lofty goal, I know, for just myself and 2 other guys. (This year we have added around 200 more fences and homeowners to our list of satisfied customers on our way to that million!) We still have a long way to go to get to a million 🤷🏻‍♂️ 🤔. We will continue to work towards that goal by staying focused on one day and one customer at a time! We are deeply invested in our work, and every day we have the opportunity to build fences, foster meaningful relationships, show our creativity, and create something unique for each homeowner we assist. From a broader perspective, businesses can get lost in the thousands of fences they might need to install every year… slowly you’ll see the attitude become, “it’s just another fence.” You’ll see the difference when installs become more about fast, quick and easy as their goal instead of what’s in the best interest for you, the homeowner! We don’t do the fast, quick set, turn and flip fence installs. We don’t hire multiple crews to do the work- WE do all of our work. You’ll see the owner on each and every job (unless something drastic happens). That’s it- the owner and 2 other employees! On another note: It’s a blessing for me to be able to say that Handy DAD fencing started because, well, I was a new dad and I was handy and I was building fences. Life and business has come full circle- this year we’ve brought on the son (the son of handy DAD) is now full-time. He has seen the commitment, the dedication and brings that same value to the job site for each homeowner! We will always put the focus and consider each and every individual homeowner's perspective, because it represents a valuable investment, dream, or goal. For them, it holds sentimental value because it belongs to them. “A business that solely focuses on financial gain loses sight of each homeowner's unique needs and circumstances.” We are passionate about our work and have been fortunate enough to pursue it. Our ultimate objective is to ensure that we prioritize each homeowner we encounter, providing them with personalized attention and care. By doing so, we will eventually have the opportunity to work our way to that millionth satisfied homeowner!! So once again, thank you for allowing us to continue doing what we love.

What a unique and special project. This is two of the around 14 different fence projects needing done on this property. These are the two we got asked to do the work for. A 6’ privacy to separate the house form the future walking path and parking area, and then a little 36” fence around the bird viewing pad. We will finish this job up and share more info on this property when we have the completed fence pictures. Always excited to be a part of and do work for our local community members.

What a challenge this morning on this project. The homeowner just bought the house and hasn’t been there terribly long. We knew we’d encounter a few issues along the way like weaving around trees, underground utilities and even a drain tile. The unknown was where was the sprinkler system lines were actually located. They reached out to the original sprinkler company that installed the system (who, provided zero assistance) to try and at least locate and/or provide a schematic diagram to give us an idea where things were running but to no avail. We sorted part of that out in our first few holes by hand digging and clearing a few areas we suspected. After that, we found out we drove l a stake in the ground to run a string line and found the offshoot line. The feeder was around 3” deep. Then as we were hand digging to clear other areas where we figured the sprinkler would be we found those as well as a mismarked fiber line. (No damage done) so we adjusted. After working through where we started to anticipate things would be- we ended up finding three other randomly run sprinkler lines. While no one had a clue what and where those would be, we were very fortunate to only find a few lines out of the 9 zones and estimated 30-40 heads. We did tell the homeowner and we did mark the lines to make it easier to locate those for future repairs. The other wild thing we had to adjust for was the crazy dips and rolls in the yard. Even though the fence will be primarily 4’ tall throughout, there will also be around three or four areas that will extend and blended and to feel more like 5+ foot tall fence. We did this same type of blend through swales on a home in Leo that had these crazy rolls so we are very prepared to make it look super clean and consistent. I can’t lie, it’s gonna be absolutely amazing when we finish and I’m looking forward to showing everyone how we worked out the swales to make the visual impact feel and look incredible while feeling very natural.
