Happy Friday! What a week celebrating family, heritage, and the traditions that connect generations! ❤️

After a wonderful week filled with special moments, I can’t imagine a more perfect ending than heading back to our happy place in Beaver Creek with both of my parents.

For over 20 years, our Colorado home has been the backdrop for so many cherished family memories. What a blessing to be together again, making new ones!

From Sicily to Ellis Island to Aggieland, my Italian heritage is a story I am so proud to share! 🇮🇹

My grandfather arrived in America as a shoemaker and made his way to Bryan–College Station, where he heard there was a military college and figured the cadets would need their boots shined! He even made Reveille’s first bridle. ❤️

As we honored the Mandola and Maida families and their Italian legacies, I couldn’t help but think of my own grandparents and the traditions they passed down. Having my parents there and my cousin Dr. John Cangelosi serving alongside me on the committee made the day especially meaningful.

My heart is full of gratitude for the friends who came to support us, Heidi and Heather from Saks Fifth Avenue, Lenny and Tamara for bringing the runway to life, and our wonderful committee—Saula, Roz, Stephanie, Brittany, Chiara, and Candace. And last but certainly not least, my fabulous Czechoslovakian co-chair, Rachel Regan!

A celebration of Italian fashion, friendship, family, and heritage. La Dolce Vita! 🍋🥂

What a special weekend celebrating sisterhood, old and new! 💙💛🔱

After spending the weekend reconnecting with my Delta Zeta sorority sisters and reliving so many wonderful college memories, I watched Bella begin a new chapter of her own with her Tri Delta initiation.

Seeing her shine, find joy, and create her own memories on her own journey is such a gift. And yes, there were tears! Happy tears, proud tears, and a few bittersweet ones as I realize how quickly the years have passed.

From my sisterhood to hers, I know these friendships and memories can last a lifetime. 💕

There’s nothing quite like coming back to Aggieland and reconnecting with the friends who made those college years so special!

I was so excited to spend time with my Delta Zeta best friend Kathleen Evans, my DZ cousin Carol Meyer, and run into my former DZ roommate Connie Rouse!

And what a special treat to run into legendary former Texas A&M football coach R.C. Slocum!

A little football, a lot of friendship, and so many wonderful memories. And finally, a little fall weather for some real game-day style! Boots, belts, scarves and fabulous accessories—because we believe game-day fashion should be just as much fun as the game itself.

Fashion has a wonderful way of making us feel something special!

Yesterday, I attended Jonathan Simkhai’s event at Tootsies. I’ve loved his designs for years, and Bella has become a fan, too! He was even sweet enough to make a little video for her.

Jonathan shared a story about his first job in fashion at just 14 years old. He was a stock boy, allowed to sweep floors and move boxes, but not touch the clothes.

One day, a woman asked him to find a pair of pants in her size. He found them, but also suggested a shirt to complete her look. She tried them on, loved the outfit, and told him how wonderful the clothes made her feel.

That was the moment he knew he wanted a career in fashion.

I loved that story because it’s exactly what I love about what we do at Vintage Contessa & Times Past. A beautiful handbag, an extraordinary watch, or a special piece of jewelry isn’t just about what you’re wearing. It’s about how it makes you feel.

And sometimes, a little luxury brings a whole lot of joy!
