Chag Sameach, motek ✨

Year after year, we return to this story - a reminder of the bravery of the 10% of our people who chose to leave all they knew for the promise of a better future.

The Prince of Egypt will always hold our hearts, but there’s something about The Ten Commandments—the scale, the drama, the beauty—that reminds us how powerful this story really is.

Freedom can never be taken for granted. It’s not lost on us that we celebrate in comfort while our people are celebrating in shelters for the same dream.

Chag Sameach & next year in Jerusalem 🤍

Shabbat shalom, Motek! It’s 78 degrees, sunny and we were slowly waking up from our winter hibernation and feeling a bit giddy. Whether you’re still bundled and cozy at home, or basking in the sunshine, we hope you have a fantastic weekend! 😘

Lavi 🤝 Pahlavi
Two lions.
Two ancient cultures.
One shared understanding: symbols carry memory.

Our Lavi was never just adornment.
In Jewish tradition, the lion stands for courage, guardianship, and moral strength — a people who survive, remember, and rise again.

This shabbat, we wear our Lavi in solidarity with the people of Iran, whose own lion has returned as an act of defiance and reclamation.

When regimes try to erase identity, symbols become resistance.

We stand with Iran’s brave people — in truth, in memory, and in hope.

The Pahlavi lion belongs to the people — not the regime.
Its return is an act of memory, defiance, and reclamation.

Long before the IRGC, before forced silence and fear, there was a civilization that understood light, strength, and sovereignty of spirit.

We stand with the people of Iran who are risking everything to reclaim their voices, their culture, and their future.

"Graffito with temple vessels"
Jewish Quarter, Jerusalem
Herodian period, 1st century BCE (c/o The Israel Museum)

From ancient walls to modern hands, the light never left.

This menorah was drawn by hand in Jerusalem’s Upper City nearly 2,000 years ago — likely by a priest who knew the Temple vessels not as symbols, but as sacred tools of daily life.

It’s one of the only images we have from a time when the menorah still stood in the Temple. Proof that our symbols weren’t invented in exile. They were ~ and continue to be~ lived.
