Emily Armenta was introduced to beautiful works of art at a very young age, surrounded by artists and her family. She didn’t realize her passion of designing jewelry could become a reality until she began the MBA program at Rice University. Entering the entrepreneurship program, the ARMENTA company and philosophy of doing business was created. Today, Emily’s studio is a source of inspiration, wher

e one can see firsthand how believing in duende, the painful beauty of life, can make the impossible become a reality. The team of artisans, learning the craft of jewelry making, have a sense of empowerment and confidence to pass down to future generations. The jewelry is a byproduct of the magic happening in the studio. Each piece of ARMENTA jewelry is handcrafted using 18k gold, sterling silver, diamonds, and semi-precious stones in the United States, but not by just any hand. At ARMENTA, we strongly believe in the idea that from struggle, one can discover a beauty and spirit that easiness and frivolity alone cannot create. The hands which have created the ARMENTA pieces belong to those whose life journeys have been full of struggle and passion. We developed a school for women that come from disadvantaged circumstances, to educate and empower future generations of artisans. Our mission to be socially responsible extends further than the walls of our company. We partner with vendors across the globe that share our dedication to empower and educate. Our partnership with our retailers is not only a great opportunity to sell beautiful jewelry, but also to tell an amazing story about inspiration and dreams that will hopefully inspire others. The story behind the women who work at the studio is truly one of inspiration and embodies the American Dream.
