I have been in the business for over 25 years making a branch off of it called, Paul Prestige Gems. There is one thing I have learned in my line of work. Be truthful with the business and yourself. Did you know there are over 150 different types of agate? You may of heard of some like banded, botswana, lace, moss, etc. But the problem is sometimes people just add random names to agate because of its color. So you get a orange agate, also called carnelian. Some call it candy orange, or orange kiss. It is not more special, it is just carnelian.

The other problem is you can easily get agate dyed. If you find a vibrant color agate, it is either something more rare, or it was dyed. But dyed agate you can tell just looks more fake.
