Kaylin reached out to us looking for a piece of jewelry to memorialize her dad. She chose the Double Setting ring to represent their unending connection and wore it as she ran the Boston Marathon, carrying her dad with her the whole way. She was kind enough to share photos and a little bit about their connection:

“My dad was definitely my person for a very VERY long time, and we went through tough things together when it was just the two of us, before he met my stepmom. Which creates an especially deep bond. My dad was in the hospital for 34 days before he passed on March 18th, almost exactly a month before the race. Instead of withdrawing from the race, I decided to run it for him: an appropriate tribute to one who taught me how to pursue joy, and put one foot in front of the other, even when times are tough. To be able to have an actual part of him with me while I ran meant more to me than I can say. Thank you so much for allowing me to run the biggest race of my life, with my dad.”
