There is a lot of overlap in the spiritual and healing spaces.
But not everything is the same and I would like to help you clarify.
Just because someone reads tarot does not make them psychic.
Just because someone is psychic does not make them a medium.
Just because someone identifies as a psychic or medium does not mean they know how to effectively work with energy, interpret meanings correctly, know the body, somatic or nervous system work. Or work in any of those areas responsibly.
These are different abilities and skill sets.
Tarot is a symbolic system. I can teach anyone to read tarot. I have been reading tarot for over 35 years and It’s one of my favorite modalities to teach...you can grow your intuition learning tarot as well.
Psychic ability involves perceiving information beyond the five senses.
Mediumship involves communication with the deceased.
Energy work requires understanding, interpretation, regulation, integration and how the body processes activation and release.
And some people hold certifications in different modalities, that does not mean they are educated and experienced in spirituality, psychic or mediumship.
People need to be aware of who they allow to work in their energy.
Some practitioners develop one of these.
Some develop several.
A small number of us spend decades integrating all of them with natural ability, education, clinical understanding and integrated experience to work in integrity and responsibly.
None is “better.”
But they are not interchangeable.
Disappointments and harm usually happen when your expectations and skill sets of the practitioner do not match or the practitioner works out of their scope of practice.
Before booking with anyone ask yourself:
• Do I want symbolic guidance or direct intuitive insight?
• Am I seeking mediumship specifically?
• Do I want nervous system support and integration or just information?
• Does this practitioner have training beyond intuition?
• Do they understand trauma and regulation?
Understanding and clarity protects you.
The right practitioner for you will not just give information.
They will know how to hold it responsibly.
They will know how to help your system integrate it.
They will respect their scope and stay within their lane.
They do not just regurgitate information they have heard from others.
I have been a psychic and medium since I was a small child. Some of us have spent decades enhancing our abilities by studying energy, psychology, clinical environments, modalities, spiritual systems and weaving them together responsibly. We are few and far between. Yes, I say the boldly because it is an important responsibility.
There are many people out there today, racing to get certified in an hour online class for many modalities or portray themselves to be of a certain vibration to monetize on as many areas as they can.
This is unethical.
It’s out of integrity and every day more and more people are walking into my space, disappointed, confused, disturbed, or even hurt by people’s lack of true ability, education, experience, and most importantly desire to help others.
Please be discerning in who you allow to access your energy and guide you on your various paths.
