The Bloodline Horizon

Golden earth. Blood-wine cut. Raw silver.

This ring doesn’t whisper.

The stone holds a line that looks like a wound across the desert — part horizon, part scar, part bloodline. I left the silver raw and marked because this piece was never meant to be pretty in a polite way.

It was made to feel unearthed.
Weathered.
Dangerous.
Alive.

For the one who doesn’t need to be softened to be sacred.

A stone fell out of this vintage ring, but the assignment wasn’t to make it look brand new.
It was to honor its original raw state.

I searched through my turquoise chips until I found one that felt like it belonged, shaped it by hand, and set it back into place.

The best part?
The cracks stayed.

And maybe that’s why this piece stayed with me.

Because there’s something about this ring that reminds me of a woman moving through menopause. A body shifting. A self changing. Pieces of who she once was falling away, not because she is broken, but because she is becoming something else.

We are taught to fear the cracks.
The aging.
The heat.
The softness.
The rage.
The grief.
The transformation.

But what if those cracks are not flaws?
What if they are proof?

Proof that she has lived.
Proof that she has survived.
Proof that she is still here, still powerful, still worthy of being held with care.

Restoration doesn’t always mean making something look new.
Sometimes it means honoring what survived.

Where the Land Remembers Her

This custom ring was created for Rebecca Knudson, author of The Space the Desert Creates: The Long Way to Myself in the Australian Outback.

The stone carries the spirit of the Australian outback — raw, layered, and alive. Set in brass polished to shine like gold and placed on silver, the piece is marked with stars and kangaroo tracks, honoring the land, the night sky, and the journey of finding your way back to yourself.

Rebecca’s book carries the story behind that transformation — her time in Australia, the kangaroos she cared for, and the desert that changed her.

✔️✔️Where the Land Remembers Her ✔️✔️

Australia didn’t just leave an impression on her.
It marked her.

Under a sky cut with stars, surrounded by wild land and ancient silence, she found herself stripped back to something real. The noise fell away. The land spoke. And somewhere between the open horizon and the kangaroo tracks beneath her feet, she began returning to herself.

The stone carries the spirit of the Australian outback — raw, layered, and alive. It sits on brass polished to shine like gold, then rests against silver, carrying both fire and strength. The band is stamped with stars and kangaroo tracks, a trail of where she wandered, what she loved, and what found her there.

This ring is not just a memory of Australia.
It is proof that some places don’t let you leave unchanged.

Where the Land Remembers Her — a piece for the woman who went searching and came back marked by the wild.

This ring was made for a particular person who comes from a long line of wayfinders.
A leader. An advocate. A force in their community. One who knows how to navigate by instinct, by purpose, and by light.

Hand cut from abalone shell into a square shape, this stone carries the movement of water and the memory of the sea. Set in sterling silver, the back of the ring holds a hand-carved North Star, allowing light to pass through the stone like guidance breaking through the dark. Wrapped around the band is the cycle of the moon phases — a reminder that true leaders know when to rise, when to reflect, and when to trust the path ahead.

This piece is about direction.
About ancestry.
About the kind of person who does not drift — they lead.
