Before it was a page on your phone, it was a light on Oak Tree Road.
Almost 40 years ago, my family opened a jewelry store in Iselin, New Jersey, and it became much more than a store. It was where brides chose their wedding sets, where aunties came back every Dhanteras, where first gold was bought for new babies, and where families returned generation after generation.
Diwali was always our busiest season. The store was full, the phone never stopped ringing, there was never time to eat, long hours, and my mom held it all together while raising three little girls. (She’ll tell you about those days sometime soon. She has stories.)
The store on Oak Tree Road is gone now. What they built is not. The trust, the relationships, the eye for gold my mom still brings to every piece are the real legacy. It was never about the building.
My passion is to keep that legacy alive in a way that fits how we live today: the same trust and the same eye for gold, now on your phone, in your DMs, and in our live shopping events instead of behind a counter.
This Diwali, we’re bringing that season back. Our countdown starts Monday!
