YanaYa Art Jewelry. Handcrafted in Seattle Jewelry designer from Seattle,
🏔️PNW inspired jewelry without soldering. I'm Yana. Art has always been my passion.

I have a deep appreciation for paintings, music, and, of course, jewelry. Creating something that can be considered art brings me immense joy. In my spare time, I sing and draw, but jewelry-making is my passion. I began making jewelry on a vacation in Hawaii. It was there that I crafted my first piece – a pearl and bead bracelet inspired by the breathtaking beauty of the ocean and nature surrounding me. Freshwater pearls have been my go-to jewelry material ever since. I'm fortunate to live with my loving family, and I'm incredibly grateful to my husband and mother for their continued support and encouragement in my jewelry-making endeavors. It's because of their supportive attitude that I could flourish in my favorite artistic pursuit. I draw inspiration from modern and abstract art. Visionaries such as Kandinsky, Mondrian, and Rothko fuel my imagination and help me develop unique jewelry ideas. Another constant source of inspiration for me is music. I make minimalistic jewelry from gold-filled wire and natural stones. As I do not solder jewelry, I am limited to finding some of the most interesting and unusual shapes for my products. Restricting materials and techniques to the essentials allows me to focus on exploring the natural textures and shapes of the stones. Rather than forcing a design onto my work, I simplify and let the stone’s inherent beauty guide the design process. The results are often unexpected and beautiful

When crafting custom jewelry, I take the time to understand my clients to design pieces that truly reflect their unique personality. My choice of stones is based on their values and birthdate. I like the idea of creating a capsule wardrobe with matching items to create a stylish and unique look by wearing a different combination every day. Finding the right shape is another favorite aspect of my work. In my jewelry, I like to use circles, zigzags, and lines to create a mood.

One more cute story from the Woodinville Farmers Market 😊

Today, a lovely lady came to my booth and told me that she lives in Edmonds and usually visits markets there. But she saw my jewelry featured in the Woodinville Farmers Market advertising and was so inspired that she decided to come and see my pieces in person.

And guess what? She bought three pieces from me today! 🥹✨

Thank you so much for coming, for your support, and for appreciating my handmade jewelry. It truly means so much to me! ❤️

I’ve decided to take a little break right now. I canceled a couple of markets in September and will probably do just one in October.

I don’t feel exhausted, just a little low on energy, and I feel like I want to shift my focus toward being outdoors and spending more time in nature, spending time with my kids and friends, and just doing some random things around the house.

I want to relax my focus a little bit, let go of the constant need to accomplish or produce something. Just observe, be present, notice what’s around me, and simply… live. 🌿

Here is a cute story from today! 🐟A lady came to my booth, and while we were chatting about beaded bracelets, a certain fish necklace caught her eye.

A few minutes later, another lady walked up wearing that exact same necklace, which she had bought from me a week ago at the Redmond Art Festival! (Luckily, I had made another one this week!) She showed off her necklace and shared how much she loved wearing it. Hearing this, the first lady was totally sold and bought the cute fishy-pearl necklace for herself!

I asked if they were friends, but nope—they just met right there at my booth! 🥰 I probably need to make more of these cuties!

I don’t create raw, organic shapes very often—but sometimes I do.

At first glance, this style looks easy. The idea is to embrace imperfection: no perfect circles, no perfectly straight lines. But when you intentionally try to make something feel natural and imperfect, it actually becomes much harder.

In many ways, it’s even more challenging than creating clean, precise shapes. With geometric designs, you rely mostly on your tools. With raw, organic forms, you rely much more on your hands and your intuition. Every curve, texture, and movement comes from your fingers.

The result is an aesthetic that feels more natural, unfinished, and full of character.

Sometimes I choose this style because I want to feel more free, more unleashed, and more relaxed. Ironically, the process often turns out to be even more intense.

Just an observation.
