This is my mom, Jeannine Gabrielsen Payette. She’s also known as . I’ve been so fortunate to have my mom for the 57 years of my life. Today is Mother’s Day 2026. 🌷 I could’ve sent her flowers, or chocolate dipped strawberries. 🍓 There are a lot of things I could’ve done, but, I wanted to do something different, something special. 👍 By using technology to its best advantage, I was able to tell my story through a song. 🎸 Using my own words and descriptions, the song, “Waving Goodbye, Jeannine,” was debuted today.🎵

When I was a single mom in the early 2000s, I taught high school social studies. It was never my dream, but I needed to support myself after an unexpected divorce. I didn’t go to college to be a teacher, but my degree made that my best option, at that time. My true love was the world of antiques and, specifically, antique and vintage jewelry. After 6 miserable years of teaching, I wanted to change my life. Most everyone told me to keep it safe and not leave teaching. My Mom, on the other hand, understood my restlessness and my desire to live my own dream. She not only supported me in spirit, but gave me the financial start that I needed in order to open Sheldon Hill.

I have made a 30-year (and counting) career from my love for antique & vintage jewelry. 💎 I remember seeing cameos like this in shops & shows back in the 1990s after college. I wasn’t doing much with that Poli Sci degree and continued working in the Bar/Restaurant field. 🥩 Still, I gravitated towards cameos like this, but had little money to buy one. 😢 Life has taken many turns over the years…some welcomed & others unexpected. Through all of it, there were shows & shops to go to. 🪑 These 4 cameos are among my favorites in my collection. I remember when I started my Instagram in 2015. There were no live shows & I don’t think Stories were a thing yet, either. 🤔 I did enjoy showing my big rings and started the hashtag to celebrate them. 💥 Since that time, much has evolved on IG. I started doing Live Shows in early 2017 and continued to seek out & sell KAPOW rings, along with the wide variety of jewelry that I’m still known for today. 👍 I think success is about being able the move with the market, while always staying true to your core. Although I’ve certainly seen a lot of amazing pieces pass through my hands to yours, nothing will ever please me more than . 💥💍

Love the Big Red? Since I’m from , I keep my eye out for these highly collectible & ever-elusive Cornell University class rings. 👩‍🎓 This is the classic style, known as the A.D. White ring (one of Cornell’s co-founders). 🐻 The ring is 10k with carved cornelian (carnelian). Class of 1953 with initials RAK inside. Fantastic condition. Size 7 and 6.8 grams. $545 DM with interest

This was my dog Candi. This is an old snapshot that got moisture under the glass year ago. Candi was my once in a lifetime dog. I rescued her from the SPCA and she went everywhere with me. She died tragically 23 years ago this month. She loved roast beef sandwiches, driving in my 1991 Jeep Wrangler, and sneaking onto the couch.
