Hi there! Welcome to Chert Rock Lapidary! 🪨✨
What started with a rock tumbler as a child’s Christmas present has grown into a lifelong passion for lapidary, rockhounding, collecting, jewelry making, and the incredible geology and Earth science behind the magic of gemstones. At Chert Rock Lapidary, we love discovering the stories hidden inside rocks, minerals, fossils, and gemstones and then turning those discoveries into something beautiful and meaningful. But our passion goes beyond collecting and creating. We’re also passionate about sharing knowledge and inspiring curiosity! Through community outreach and educational programs, we explore the fascinating fossil and geological history of the Southeastern United States with schools, civic organizations, community festivals, and anyone who wants to learn more about the amazing world beneath our feet. 🦖🌎 Whether you’re a seasoned rockhound, a jewelry lover, a budding geologist, or someone who simply thinks rocks are really cool, we’re glad you’re here! Follow along as we dig deeper, learn more, create beautiful things, and share the wonder of the natural world.
Welcome to Chert Rock Lapidary! Where every rock has a story! 🪨📜
