I can't believe I'm saying this, but By Love Designs -- originally known as Kellie Creates -- is FIFTEEN YEARS OLD today! What began as me beading to pass the time and posting items on Facebook to sell has now evolved into something much more professional. (And time consuming, and stressful, and tiring, but SO rewarding!)
At this point like 90% of my identity is tied to this business, which means I really fly high with the highs, and I really sink low with the lows, but no one will ever be able to say that my heart hasn't always been fully in this.
I compiled a little retrospective of the past 15 years, and while these are just (literal) snapshots in time, I think my growth both as a business and as a person is apparent through these photos.
Whether you've been with me from the very, very start (I'm looking at you, Jamie, Jessica, and Erin), are now a loyal customer-turned-friend (I'm not going to name you all because I will inevitably accidentally forget someone and feel bad), an event coordinator who I also now have the privilege of getting to call a friend, one of my amazing friendors who now are one whole half of my literal friend group and know a lot of my secrets, or my wonderful friends and family who support me in so many ways, I hope you know how much I appreciate and love you all. 🫶
Cheers to . . . I dunno, y'all think I can do this another 15 years? Cheers to whatever comes next, and cheers to everything that has happened up until now to get me to where I am. I hope to keep creating for a while still! 💜
