ABOUT THE JEWELRY
Metal, Cloth & Wood jewelry is created using the most eco-friendly practices wherever and whenever possible. The precious metals used in the process are primarily green-certified and all of the silversmithing chemicals and tools employed are vegan and as environmentally friendly as we can manage — we even go so far as to mixing up some of our own concoctions just to ensure they’re as safe as they can be. And any metal scraps left over are carefully collected so that they, too, can be recycled into even more beautiful jewelry! ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Summertime is where our designer Johanna Wood’s heart lives! Crickets & katydids chirping through the night. Humid air that wraps around you like a warm, loving hug. The clean & healing scent of grass and trees. The surprise tickle of a damselfly landing on a bare knee. The fact that summer is filled with all of these tiny & incredibly fascinating wild animals that you can hold in the palm of your hand has always made it an especially exciting time of year for Johanna. Johanna’s inclination to gravitate towards unconventional beauty enables her to create distinctive pieces that are as authentically unique as they are wearable and flattering. You can always look down at the piece of Metal, Cloth & Wood jewelry that you’re wearing and be reminded of the beauty that exists in the natural world all around you, no matter where you are or what you’re doing. Just wanted to drop in here to say 👋 and welcome to all of my new followers and also to thank all of the folks who have been so supportive all of these years. Thank you so much to all of my customers new and old, to all of the folks who went the extra mile to leave a sweet review, or reached out to share what the jewelry they purchased means to them, or to suggest a new shop that might be interested in my work. As a person who values kindness, I love that my work seems to attract a lot of very kind people 🥹 You folks are just the absolute best!

So, this is me with my two sweet rescue pups, Butterbean (mostly Peke, but also part golden lion tamarin) and Theo (1% Peke, 99% going to randomly hurl himself into your lap and knock all of the wind out of you when you least expect it) in our tiny pollinator garden filled with bees that my very sweet husband grows for us and who is also behind the camera, patiently waiting for all three of us to actually look at the camera at the same time. Butterbean and Theo most definitely want you to tell your dog that they said “hi!” Also Theo recently found a carpenter bee in our garden who can’t fly. He lives with us now and I’ve named him Ceecil Beesley (Cee-Bee for short). I’ll try to post more about him soon! 🐝❤️
