Metal, Cloth & Wood jewelry is created using the most eco-friendly practices wherever and whenever possible. The precious metals used in the process are primarily green-certified and all of the silversmithing chemicals and tools employed are vegan and as environmentally friendly as we can manage — we even go so far as to mixing up some of our own concoctions just to ensure they’r

e as safe as they can be. And any metal scraps left over are carefully collected so that they, too, can be recycled into even more beautiful jewelry! ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Summertime is where our designer Johanna Wood’s heart lives! Crickets & katydids chirping through the night. Humid air that wraps around you like a warm, loving hug. The clean & healing scent of grass and trees. The surprise tickle of a damselfly landing on a bare knee. The fact that summer is filled with all of these tiny & incredibly fascinating wild animals that you can hold in the palm of your hand has always made it an especially exciting time of year for Johanna. Johanna’s inclination to gravitate towards unconventional beauty enables her to create distinctive pieces that are as authentically unique as they are wearable and flattering. Introducing the latest addition to our family: Theo! He is one of the silliest and snuggliest dogs I have ever met. He is so sweet, everyone falls in love with him. I have never had so many people stop to say hi to one of my dogs before — he has a smile and a kiss for everyone he meets. We are currently awaiting the results of his DNA test to find out what kind of Heinz 57 dog he is. He has Big Dog Energy, but in a tiny 13 lb package…so I’m guessing he is a mix of a little bit of something big and surprising, like a shepherd or retriever, but mostly a mix of fun-sized breeds like chihuahua and pekingese or maybe even pug. What are your best guesses?

Thank you so much to everyone for checking in with us and for leaving so many sweet messages. I’m heartbroken to tell you that we had to say goodbye to the goodest boy ever yesterday. Dexter’s doctor found a large tumor in his mouth. He was a little sedated, but we were so thankful to be able to say goodbye to him and kiss him and hold him one last time before letting him go.

I married my husband in 2005. In 2006 we bought our house with its sweet little courtyard out back. It was important that our new house had a yard because we were waiting to find the right dog to run around in it. And in 2007, we adopted Dexter from . Dexter was 11 months old when we brought him home. He filled every space of our house with happy memories — he made our house a home. We miss him so much. 💔

If everyone who reads this could send some love, some healing thoughts and a little magic, if you can spare it, it would be most appreciated rn. Dexter turned 18 last month. And a few weeks ago, he started getting sick. He would get better. And then get sick again, after the antibiotics stopped. It turns out he has something in his mouth that is making him sick, but we don’t know exactly what it is and it requires anesthesia to find out. He’s not ready to go yet and we’re not ready to give up on him, so we scheduled him for a dental. He’ll be heading into surgery early today. I’ll keep you posted… 🙏🤞🤞❤️‍🩹

I logged out yesterday to participate in and then realized I neglected to mention I would be logging out. But yeah. I’ll be back in a week. For my US followers, take special care of yourselves this week and especially today. Today should be a solemn, respectful, and appreciative day of remembrance. But this year, today is a kick in the teeth. It’s a heartbreaker. We are in this together and we are going to get through it. 💪

As far as beetles go, weevils have to be among the most charismatic and adorable of the beetle families.
