A little peek at what went out the door this week 🖤✨

Lots of little packages, lots of clay, and a whole lot of fun making these for you guys.

I’m restocking some Halloween favorites this weekend because we’re not done with spooky season just yet 👻

So apparently I play mahjong now. 😂🀄️

A family friend taught me how to play recently and, naturally, I became a little obsessed.

I originally made these as a gift for her… but now I’m definitely going to be making a few pairs for myself.

And then I figured I probably needed to make some for Ember & Elm too. 😂

So here we are.

Baseball tournament this afternoon ⚾️
And somewhere in between, I’m working on a 10-pair volleyball order, a Halloween box for a local boutique, golf dangles for an Etsy order… and a little something new I’m not quite ready to show you yet. 👀

Oh, and apparently I need to get those Halloween earrings listed because you guys keep asking about them. 😂 I’m on it - promise 😊

Making earrings in between real life, kids’ sports, coffee runs, and approximately 900 other things.

It’s still kind of wild to me that these little clay things I make at my desk are ending up in people’s actual lives. ✨💛🥰 I’m incredibly grateful.

A couple more local teams have made their way into the Ember & Elm lineup. 🖤🧡💙🤍

These were custom color-matched for West Platte + Platte City — just like the other local booster club orders and team/school customs I’ve been making lately.

I really love getting to take a school’s colors and turn them into something that feels like spirit wear but make it cute ✨

And yes, these are available locally at lottieandloukc ✨👀

If you have a school, team, or organization that needs earrings in their colors, I’m always happy to play around with the colors and see what we can make.

Sports moms know: there is always room for one more pair of team earrings. 😂

A note from Caitlyn:

I’m a former teacher, a current boy mom, and Kansas City girl through and through. These days, life is a mix of baseball diamonds, soccer fields, wrestling mats, KC sports, and finding time to make things with my hands.

I started Ember & Elm because I wanted to slow down, work with my hands, and create pretty things that made other people smile. What started as a creative outlet at my kitchen table has grown into a small handmade jewelry business that I’m really proud of.

I love making pieces that feel fun and a little special without being over the top — especially the kind you can throw on with your favorite sweatshirt and head out the door. And naturally, the sports side of mom life has made its way into a lot of what I create, too.

Every pair is made by hand, one at a time, from mixing and conditioning the clay to cutting, baking, sanding, drilling, and assembling.

I’m so excited to have Ember & Elm at Lottie & Lou and grateful for the opportunity to share my work with you. I hope you find something that you love.
