Everyone on Kaua’i has been affected by hurricane Lowell, including the Kaua’i Humane Society. I donated some pet food to the Kauai Humane Society and I asked them what else I could do to help. They suggested a doggie field trip, and I excitedly agreed. Most beaches and parks may be closed right now, but we had a blast cruising with Yongie all over old Kōloa town! He said hi to our shop neighbors, got lots of love and definitely lots of treats 🐶 if you are on island right now and want to give a pup a break from shelter life, please swing by the Kaua’i Humane Society and ask about their field trip program. And if you’re looking to adopt, Yongie is an absolute sweetheart. You’ll quickly fall in love with him ❤️ If you are not on island, you can donate directly to Kauai Humane Society through their website 🥰

Yesterday was my first real day back at work. And it’s been one week since hurricane Lowell wreaked havoc on Kaua’i. We’re still trying to navigate the aftermath of the storm. Our Kōloa shop makes up about 85% of our business, while our online shop only makes up about 15%. With the state of the island right now, visitors have flown home, and locals are cleaning up and trying to get their lives back together. If you go to my page, you can check out the posts I’ve shared if you’d like to learn about organizations you can donate to that will directly help Kaua’i. I just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who has reached out, asked how they can help, and who has shopped online with us. Our online store is what’s going to have to carry Charles and I for the foreseeable future. We truly appreciate each and every order that comes in. For our Kaua’i ohana, please reach out to me if you need anything at all. A place to take a hot shower, do laundry, rest. We love you and are here for you ❤️
