Some exciting projects coming down the pipe. With the success so far, we are able to pursue more of our long term goals for Kindred Bear much earlier then expected. This weekend at the Save U More-Kenai flea market, we'll have more a more focused product line featuring the crowd favorites, and adding some new lines that I thought we were years away from being able to offer.

Also, we are officially going to be at the Kenai Peninsula Fair in August, indoors of course 😉, so come play a game with us down there as well!

Featured this week is a collection of absolutely STUNNING Labradorite pieces. Pictured are two of our favorites, but there are several in different styles, sizes and most importantly, colors. Labradorite was first documented in Labrador Canada in 1770 by Moravian Missionaries visiting Inuit Communities, where the locals had utilized its beauty for generations. Legends told that Labradorite deposits had the Northern Lights trapped within them, and a warriors spear freed the Lights as we know them now. Remaining behind is little pieces of that light still trapped and is known today as "Labradorescence". Today we call it Labradorite, but we prefer the original name which means "Stone of the Northern Lights".

SEVERAL new fun items available at Willow Ptarmigan starting this week! We heard you all out at the the market, and am very proud to begin offering beautiful one of a kind Copper pieces. Today, lets take a look at these beauties. Hair Sticks, Barrettes and more! All with pure copper and real stones for that special kick of flair. We also loaded up the bracelet stand with some pretty sweet pieces featuring shells harvested on the beaches right here in Alaska. How has everyones 4th of July week been!? The long break has given us at Kindred Bear time to rest and regroup, and we are back better then ever baby! How has everyone's Spring/Summer gone so far? We've been adventuring our great state more then expected, but are always on the look out for unique ideas to bring to all our friends and stock at Willow Ptarmigan in Kenai, right next to Safeway in the strip mall.
