Topaz Goldsmith and Gallery

Topaz is a family-owned and operated jewelry repair and design studio that opened on Maui in 1988. He started his apprenticeship when he was just 14 years old.

The Topaz family includes: David Fairclough who is a master European Goldsmith and artist. Nancy Fairclough who is an expert designer and gemologist. Their two children, who use to run around their store, have since flown the nest and are no longer a regular part of the Topaz experience. If you're looking for a master craftsman for either jewelry repairs or custom designs, David and Nancy are happy to meet your needs and are eager to create something timeless and unique just for you.

Egypt’s Supreme Council for Archaeology recently unearthed ancient mummies with solid gold tongues in their mouths at a site 40 miles north of Cairo on the Nile Delta.
