Unheated Tanzanite lovers rejoice! Check out this 14.44 ct unheated Tanzanite, which is now all packed up and ready to go to its new home in Singapore. Here is a rare opportunity: a finished gem available for direct purchase! As you may know, practically all of my gems are cut-to-order these days, making this an unusual opportunity. This gorgeous 2.14 ct. heated Montana sapphire measures 7.35 x 7.35 ct. and is a beautiful shade of greenish-blue (slightly more green than suggested by the photo). Clarity is excellent, with just one or two small feathers to speak of, and they are difficult if not impossible to see in normal viewing. Considering that this is a 2+ ct. top color Montana sapphire, you might be surprised by the price! I achieved a killer yield on the rough, which means I can sell at a lower price per ct. than would normally be possible. Please send us a message for pricing and/or to purchase. Behold the sorcery of trichroic unheated Tanzanite! 🙂 It's always interesting to see how the blue, purple, and amber colors of unheated Tanzanite blend together in the finished gem.
