I feel it’s time for a bit of explanation. I know deep down, I do not have to…but I want to.
•As my age and my jewelry has progressed so has a my wisdom and my craft.
•For 13 years I have made jewelry. I have evolved tremendously from my beginning (that first year was atrocious 😉) I have taught myself everything I know — except for silversmithing, which I took a 2 hr class on— and I have enjoyed my J. O. B. for all of these years.
•My explanation is this: I want to make jewelry affordable for everyone. I always have. Yet, since I have evolved and most of my enamel work is extremely time consuming, I choose to raise the prices. Personally, for the time involved and the knowledge and experience it IS a lesser value than it should be.
•Consider if you have worked at your job for 13 years without a raise.
•Would you take less money an hour if your boss asked? Just because your boss doesn’t want to pay what you are worth!! No, you wouldn’t.
•So, with that short analogy, please know the work and effort I put into my art and jewelry, I stand by my pricing.
•I realize this may seem ugly to people to discuss. It has weighed very heavy on me recently, especially when I am asked to take Less for any piece of my art. I am a jewelry artist. It is art.
•I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of you who have followed me through the years and are still with me!! I want to say thank you to the new comers and lift my spirits with adoration!
