My name is Silvano DiGenova and I have been involved in the rare coin and precious metals business for over 40 years. I’m a self-made man who at a young age took hold of the American dream by turning my passion into my business. I have made my fortune by assisting others in profiting in coins and precious metals, and wish to share my expertise with others. I was fundamental in two dramatic changes that greatly assisted investor’s, certified grading and electronic trading of coins and precious metals. My recommendations, unlike most in our field, have not always been BUY recommendations but often SELL recommendations. I have been a guardian of my clients’ money, and tied my fortune to their gains. In 1999 we strongly recommended selling pre-1964 junk silver coin when the premiums reached 100%. We had countless individuals switch to 100 oz. bars when the hysteria dictated they needed “Barter Money”. Our clients doubled their silver position and profited hugely!! Today many are investing in stocks like Amazon and Facebook that trade at PE’s of 600 and 116 respectively. These are pre- “dot.com” bubble multiples. The Fed is printing money like never before. Our National Debt has tripled since 2000 and now tops $17 Trillion, a number so large virtually no one can comprehend it. Our Debt is greater than the GDP of all the European Union countries combined. That’s England, Germany, France, Italy, Spain…, and twenty-three more countries. When the “smart money” like Hedge Fund managers and billionaire investors are diversifying into gold, and when countries like China, India and OPEC nations are hoarding the precious metal, is it not time to take a closer look? 4.9 million of these were struck. PCGS has graded only four finer than this one.

That’s what makes the 1896-O Morgan so interesting. New Orleans ran its dies until they were worn out, so most of these came out weakly struck, dull, and banged up. A nice one is genuinely hard to find.

This coin is the exception. The strike is sharp for the date, you can see detail in the hair above Liberty’s ear and in the eagle’s breast feathers, and the cheek is surprisingly clean for an MS64. It also has the kind of toning you can’t fake: warm golden brown with splashes of aqua around the rims, even more colorful on the back.

PCGS MS64 with a green CAC sticker, which only six coins at this grade have earned.

The coin many collectors call the most beautiful British crown ever struck.

William Wyon’s Gothic Crown pairs a young Queen Victoria, wearing an intricately detailed crown and an embroidered gown featuring the rose, thistle, and shamrock, with legends set in medieval Gothic lettering. The design drew on the Gothic Revival that was reshaping Victorian architecture and art, and it has been prized by collectors ever since.

The reverse features four crowned shields of England, Scotland, and Ireland around the Star of the Order of the Garter, with the date written only as MDCCCXLVII.

Struck in limited numbers as a proof, this example carries the “UNDECIMO” edge, marking the eleventh year of Victoria’s reign. Graded NGC PF61, with deep original toning and vivid blue and gold rims.

A remarkable piece of Roman history.

This 41 BC AR Denarius of Marc Antony and Octavian captures a fascinating moment in the final years of the Roman Republic. Marc Antony was one of Julius Caesar’s closest allies and a powerful military commander, while Octavian was Caesar’s adopted heir who would later become Rome’s first emperor, Augustus. At the time this coin was struck, the two were allies, but their relationship would eventually turn into a struggle for control of Rome.

1854-O LIBERTY HEAD DOUBLE EAGLE $20

With a mintage of only 3,250 coins and an estimated surviving population of approximately 40 examples, the 1854-O Liberty Head Double Eagle is one of the great rarities of 19th-century American gold coinage.

This PCGS AU53 example is especially noteworthy. It retains attractive honey-gold color, strong detail, and considerable luster, placing it among the more desirable surviving examples of this celebrated New Orleans issue.

A key date this scarce rarely comes to market. For the advanced collector, this is the kind of coin a collection gets built around.

Only 5 to 6 of these are known to exist.

This 1872 Trade Dollar Pattern (Judd 1220) carries William Barber's take on the Indian Princess design, one of his finest engraving achievements. PCGS graded PR64 Cameo, with frosted devices and pale golden toning that shifts in the light.

Its pedigree traces back to the legendary Harry W Bass Jr Collection, one of the most respected names in American numismatics. A tiny planchet flake near the G in GRAINS confirms it as the exact Bass specimen.

Pieces like this rarely surface.

The 1907 $20 High Relief Wire Edge St. Gaudens Double Eagle is not just a coin. It is the meeting point of art and history, born from the collaborative vision of Theodore Roosevelt and Augustus Saint Gaudens.

1864 $1 Liberty Seated Dollar PCGS MS65 CAC

An extraordinary opportunity for the advanced collector of Liberty Seated coinage. This 1864 Silver Dollar stands among the finest known examples of a date that is both historically significant and exceptionally elusive in Gem condition.

Struck during the height of the American Civil War, the 1864 Seated Dollar saw little to no domestic circulation. As noted by renowned numismatist Q. David Bowers, most examples were exported overseas because their bullion value had risen to approximately $1.04, exceeding their face value. Many were shipped to China for use in international trade, while only a small number remained in the United States. Some found their way into circulation in the American West, where paper money was often distrusted and silver coinage remained the preferred medium of exchange.

Today, surviving Mint State examples are exceptionally scarce. PCGS has graded only 32 coins of this issue in Mint State across all grades, highlighting just how difficult these Civil War era dollars are to find in original high grade condition.

This specimen is fully brilliant with booming Mint luster, a razor sharp strike, and outstanding eye appeal. A few minor marks are all that separate it from an even higher grade, yet they do nothing to diminish the remarkable quality of this superior Gem.

From 2001 through 2024, only nine examples graded PCGS MS65 have appeared at public auction and only two of those were awarded the coveted CAC sticker. With a CAC population of just five coins and none finer, this piece represents a true condition rarity within one of the most challenging and desirable classic American silver dollar series.

A remarkable survivor from one of the most pivotal years in American history. A coin that combines rarity, beauty, and long term investment appeal.

1926D Mercury Dime PCGS MS67FB Pop 6/1

Breathtaking. Beautiful. Inspired.

This work of sculptural art by Adolph Weinman is considered one of the most attractive designs in American numismatics. When you buy a coin, you want one of the very finest. This is it.

PCGS has graded just 6 examples MS67FB. One coin grades finer. That is the entire universe.

And the toning. Iridescent splashes of russet, aquamarine, lemon yellow, gold, and burnt orange upon a small metallic canvas. Nature spent a century creating this. It shows.
