I am trying to get the number of "likes" up here at Spoon for Life, as to help gain exposure for my art, but more importantly my cause. I would like to encourage those reading this to "like" my site, and "share" this post on your FB wall, as to let your friends know, and help me spread the word about Spoon for Life, and a lil love to those less fortunate.
I really dont think its asking alot, even if you really dont like my cause.
Besides that, with a few clicks of your mouse, you could help affect the lives of those less fortunate, and that should make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And who doesnt like to feel all warm and fuzzy?
So get to spoonin' and help me fight hunger and homelessness here in America, would ya?

Spoon for Life
This is my new friend Chrissy. She and her husband Lonnie (who actually took this pic), hang out at the corner of Braker Ln. and Hwy 183. I stopped to talk to them and explained what I was doing with Spoon for Life. They currently live in a 10x10 self storage unit with no heat or AC, no electricity, and no plumbing. They are new to the homeless world, and are just trying to survive. I asked them if there was anything specific that they were really needing, expecting them to say something like coats, food, money, beer, or ci******es.
Without hesitation, Lonnie blurted out "I need to work", which I was very refreshing to hear.
I told him that I really didnt need his help, cuz I make custom jewelry, but I went ahead and brought him back to the workshop to cut, grind, and flatten some spoons.
After about an hour, I told him that I appreaciated his eagerness and willingness to work. I then took him back to the corner and gave him 20 bucks for his effort, so he can feel like a man, by gettn an honest wage for honest work.
