Spoon for Life

Spoon for Life For many years, I have been involved with the history and development of art and design. I find my passion in helping those in need.

Known and unknown artists and designers inspired me to start, to be creative and passionate about developing my skill. The Spoon for Life pledge:
If this piece is for yourself, that you pledge to do one random act of kindness for a homeless or person in need with 30 days, and attempt to take a picture of it, along with a brief description, and send it to me so I can put it up on my site. It can be

something as simple as giving a guy a couple bucks on the corner, droppn off food at a food bank, donating clothes, etc. The idea behind this is to pay it forward, lead by example, and inspire others. If however the piece you purchase is a gift for someone else, I want you to get the recipient to pledge to do one, or both of the following:
#1 - that they will pledge to purchase a piece from me within 30 days and give it to someone else, asking the reciepient to also make a pledge. or #2 - that they will do one random act of kindness for a homeless or person in need with 30 days, and attempt to take a picture of it, along with a brief description, and send it to me so I can put it up on my site, to help inspire others. Its not about the jewelry, its about paying it forward, and encouraging others to become more aware, and more active, even in the smallest of ways. If I can positively affect 100 people and those 100 people can then in turn affect 100 people, and so on down the line, just think what a huge impact that could make.

After losing another close friend to a random tragedy...this will be two friends in two weeks....
It made me think twice about my how I spend my day...I realized we are all just one breath away from eternity! We are all on borrowed time from our Heavenly Father!Where will you spend it?

This is a heartwrenching video, but it comes with a very inspiring and meaningful message. How do you live your life every day? What will people say about you when you're gone? This is a must see.

This came up as a memory today, so I felt like it was just a little Marc "wink" from heaven to remind those to be more, give more, and to carry on "Being Awesome!"

This message from Marc was on my heart to share with you today....make a difference, be the change, and be "Awesome!"

Dear Spoon for Life supporters and recipinets of my pieces, I would like to remind and encourage you to help me spread the message behind my work and my passion by helping me spread the word via posting FB pics of your pieces along with a link to my site.
I would also like to remind you of the Spoon for Life pledge which states:
If this piece is for yourself, that you pledge to do one random act of kindness for a homeless or person in need with 30 days, and attempt to take a picture of it, along with a brief description, and send it to me so I can put it up on my site.
It can be something as simple as giving a guy a couple bucks on the corner, droppn off food at a food bank, donating clothes, etc.

If I can positively affect 100 people and those 100 people can then in turn affect 100 people, and so on down the line, just think what a huge impact that could make.
You all could make a huge impact by doing something as little as buying a piece, posting a pic on your wall with a link to my site reaching hundreds if not thousands with just a couple minutes of your time.
Thank you from me and the invisible lost souls you will be helping.

Just a friendly reminder to those of you have recieveved Spoon for Life pieces, there is a pledge that goes along with owning one of my pieces, as it is not simply a piece of wearable art, but rather a converstaion piece designed to raise awareness regardin g those in need, and to encourage others to become actively involved by leading by example,
The Spoon for Life pledge:
If this piece is for yourself, that you pledge to do one random act of kindness for a homeless or person in need with 30 days, and attempt to take a picture of it, along with a brief description, and send it to me so I can put it up on my site.

I am trying to get the number of "likes" up here at Spoon for Life, as to help gain exposure for my art, but more importantly my cause. I would like to encourage those reading this to "like" my site, and "share" this post on your FB wall, as to let your friends know, and help me spread the word about Spoon for Life, and a lil love to those less fortunate.
I really dont think its asking alot, even if you really dont like my cause.
Besides that, with a few clicks of your mouse, you could help affect the lives of those less fortunate, and that should make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. And who doesnt like to feel all warm and fuzzy?
So get to spoonin' and help me fight hunger and homelessness here in America, would ya?

Spoon for Life
This is my new friend Chrissy. She and her husband Lonnie (who actually took this pic), hang out at the corner of Braker Ln. and Hwy 183. I stopped to talk to them and explained what I was doing with Spoon for Life. They currently live in a 10x10 self storage unit with no heat or AC, no electricity, and no plumbing. They are new to the homeless world, and are just trying to survive. I asked them if there was anything specific that they were really needing, expecting them to say something like coats, food, money, beer, or ci******es.
Without hesitation, Lonnie blurted out "I need to work", which I was very refreshing to hear.
I told him that I really didnt need his help, cuz I make custom jewelry, but I went ahead and brought him back to the workshop to cut, grind, and flatten some spoons.
After about an hour, I told him that I appreaciated his eagerness and willingness to work. I then took him back to the corner and gave him 20 bucks for his effort, so he can feel like a man, by gettn an honest wage for honest work.
