Hunting down the right stone is my favorite part of this whole job. Hand me a color and turn me loose and I’m happy for days.
Carolyn wanted green for her engagement ring. The obvious answer is an emerald, but emerald is soft, and an engagement ring gets worn every day, so I went looking for something that would hold up.
I found her a lab-grown green diamond, the same green she was after, and hard enough to last a lifetime.
