Playing with plastic again! I love the way it looks when held up to the window. When it’s melted, the white plastic becomes clear and when it cools back down and hardens, it returns to white. -

Sometimes I run out of time to give much thought to the content I share, so here’s a little peek at what I’m working on today. Another batch of upcycled book page wreaths! Several years ago I played around with melting HDPE plastic to create new things. It was a miserable failure. In my frustration, I set it aside. Until now. I spent time thinking about what I did wrong and what I could do better when I tried it again. I found other makers online who do similar work. I watched their videos (a lot) and I learned from them. And now? I’m having fun and I’m excited to be successfully melting down milk jugs and bottle caps to make Christmas ornaments. It’s going great and I couldn’t be happier! I look forward to sharing more of my HDPE adventures with you in the future! Remember… if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again! ❤️. -

So much plastic! It really does have potential. At least that’s the way I see it. (My family probably thinks I’m a little crazy though. 🤪). -
