When I’m in the studio I always try to work on more than one project at a time. I often refer back to my sketchbook for inspiration. As you can see, the final design isn’t always the same. With these earrings, I didn’t have smaller brass wire, so I went with what I had - though I did roll it through the mill to make it square.

These follow the theme of rainbow arches. The inverted arch symbolizes divine joy and higher perspective. I can only aspire to these qualities- especially right now. Hopefully, these will be a reminder to whosever wears them to reach for the sky.

It’s been a minute since I stepped foot in my studio to create. I’ve been dealing with leg pain for almost a year now and now there’s swelling. It’s been challenging. Many days I long to be out in the studio, but I’m stuck on the couch with my legs up. I’m icing them now as I type. I’ve got osteoarthritis in my knees, which is looking to be the cause of all of this mess. I’m waiting for a referral to an osteopath. Wish me luck, send prayers, all the good ju ju. I need it.

I’ve only got four shows scheduled between now and Labor Day. I’m focusing on making my Pacific Northwest designs and some colorful enamel earrings as well. I hope to see you at one of my shows. They are all listed on my website if you’re interested.

Inspired by the sea…. Living on an island, it’s not hard to be inspired. I feel so lucky to be here - to be so close to the water. We don’t have a view from our house, but it’s just a short walk away. I’m originally from New Hampshire, but the PNW has become my home. I love it here and can’t imagine living anywhere else.

Silver hoops with brass coral dangles and 14k gold filled ear wires ~

Did you know that coral reefs cover less than 1% of the ocean floor, but they are home to more than 25% of all known marine species, making them one of the most biodiverse ecosystems in the ocean? Pretty amazing.

The only time I’ve seen living coral was in Florida when my kids were young. We took them snorkeling 🤿. It was an amazing experience. There were so many fish and little critters swimming in and around the reef, using it to find food and for protection. It was like watching a miniature city.

Crows are one of my favorite birds. I took a bit of artistic license here and made this one blue. It’s set with a textured sterling silver bezel and a textured copper backplate. It hangs from an oxidized sterling silver chain with a lobster clasp.
