In his youth, he watched and listened as his father worked with gold and other precious metals, sparking the first fires of desire within him. Years later, as if by fate, CBullock was drawn to the combination of turquoise (as well as many other precious gifts from nature) with exquisite sterling silver. Although he has expanded his artistic expression over the years his allegiance to his roots can
still be seen in much of his work today. His early influences were Hopi Indians Charles Loloma, and Preston Monongye - both renowned for their pioneering work in multi-material art. When asked, CBullock states that the finished work designs itself, the inspiration flowing from a source that refuses to have boundaries. He becomes an extension of the materials, combining them as they dictate, to create the one-of-a-kind pieces for which he is known. CBullock will frequently work straight through the night, listening to the spirits which guide him, in order to finish the piece without interruption, ensuring it becomes exactly what it was destined to be. CBullock resides in southern New Mexico where he and his wife of 43 years live a simple, unassuming lifestyle. The breadth of colors and textures in the great Southwest undoubtedly contribute to this creative inspiration as he humbly follows in the innovative footsteps of the masters. It is his hope that his son will continue the rich tradition. All items available through CBullock are painstakingly handcrafted exclusively with sterling (92.5% fine) silver. No “coin” silver is used, no nickel-silver, no silver-plated or silver-filled jewelry is offered. No two pieces are identical as each is individually handcrafted. His past clients include such notables as The Supremes and Zales Jewelry. I hope you will give CBullock the opportunity to create that ‘special’ piece for you
