I have a friend, Aaron, who's wife was pregnant, and near delivery. Aaron had an idea for a pendant, and we sat down together and designed it.

I called him on the day we finished it, and told him it was ready. He laughed, and said that his wife, Julie, had given birth about 20 minutes or so earlier. I asked which hospital, and it turned out they were at Mountain View, right across the freeway from us. I offered to deliver it to her room right after work.

Watching her reaction to the surprise was a blast. Seeing the look on his face was great too. I realize I have seldom seen this moment, and it was worth savoring.

I even got to see the baby, and she is beautiful!

Another round of new merchandise!!! There is some way fun stuff this time! I will have it in the cases by Tuesday!

New diamond rings! New ruby, aquamarine, and pearl rings! New necklace/ bracelet/ earring sets! We spent some time changing cases that have not changed much in a long time! I really enjoy putting new merchandise out, and love the impact that has on the store.

By the way, if there is ever something that you have always wanted, but nobody seems to ever have it, ASK US! I have a list of about 10 items I will be looking for speicifically at this show, and I keep an active search list all the time. Frank

There is a trade show we will be going to- we typically stock up on pearl goods, some sterling silver items, probably a bit of colored gems in gold and white gold (rings, pendants, earrings) at this particular gathering. I love putting the new things out in the case. We have a few customers who keep track of when we do this, so that they can have the first opportunity to see and choose. Our cases will look different by the end of this week (Friday/ Saturday, Aug 17th and 18th.) Just a heads up....
