Who wants to own a piece of WKS history?! ππ€
I present to you, "Surrender"
This is the FIRST piece I made in the new full time van lyfe, mobile studio!!! It was made last night, the FIRST night, I finally got to take the van and stay overnight, not in town but, in the foothills of Mount Charleston NV. β°οΈ I found a perfect spot to park for the night called, "Kyle Canyon"! You can't make this up!! Lol
It is also the first time I ever worked with this material, Chrysocolla with Native Coper, provided by James Deans. Accented with a 3mm faceted Tanzanite, and a 3mm faceted Amethyst. With a touch of inspiration from Ben Kappius.
This week has been nothing short of challenging!! Keeping right up with the theme of my year!!!! ππ
Not fighting change is something I have always struggled with, but I'm now learning how to embrace it.
Tho it was not at all intentional, but rather something that my friend Alethea Shelton said, that started echoing through my head as I made this pendant. I wanted to do something different! I wanted to do something that stood out from the rest of my work!!
What started off easy, quickly became more challenging when I started to not do the same thing I have done a thousand times.
As I was accepting this self appointed challenge i remember something Alethea and many others have said before one way or another over the years.....
"Surrender to the flow, or suffer in circles."
This piece represents me stepping into a whole new lyfe, a whole new beginning of challenges yet to come!! This piece symbolizes sheer will and determination to do the hard things, to do the challenges, to do whatever you have to do not go in circles.
I never want to live the same year twice ever again. Lyfe is short, the world is your backyard, go play in it!!!
Holla at me if interested in this very special pendant.
