Ok this was a challenge!
I took a worn out 14 karat yellow gold wedding set from the 1950’s.
It needed to be re-tipped on the prongs holding the center diamond. The rings themselves had to be completely re-shanked at least. She asked if i could save the two top pieces and add 14 karat white gold shanks. Making the set more of a two-tone look. Of course I said, “I sure can.”
They turned out really nice!

This was a complete remake. The customer wanted to up grade her sapphire and diamond band. Yet keep it similar. We used 3 times bigger diamonds and turned the oval sapphire from north and south in the original ring to east and west. A much cleaner look and shows them off much better. Also a lot more gold to beef it up. A true family heirloom.
