Last month I had the privilege of watching the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in person. This month, I've watched those same athletes compete at the Olympics, and I can't stop thinking about how much their journey mirrors mine at the jeweler's bench.

The tenacity to get up after a fall. The artistry that makes technique beautiful. The years of practice that make mastery look effortless.

It's all the same—just different arenas.
