Founded in 2017, Kellie Stonger Fine Jewelry is an independent, private fine jewelry studio based in Downtown Littleton and serving the greater Denver area.

A Colorado native with a global perspective, Kellie Stonger is the founder and designer of Kellie Stonger Fine Jewelry. Prior to launching her brand, Kellie ran her own boutique private buying business for clients looking for bespoke fine jewelry from U.S. and European designers. She has traveled the world looking for inspiration, spending the last three years living in Europe. Most recently she lived in London, where she studied jewelry design and gemology at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). While attending GIA, she won the student design competition which helped inspire the concept for her own brand. Kellie has a mindful approach to jewelry design and her creative and thoughtful spirit is echoed in each and every piece. She creates contemporary heirlooms that stand the test of time while pushing the boundaries of design. Kellie believes that every piece of jewelry has a story that begins from the time it is created, to the moment it is handed down to the next generation. She wants each piece to give the wearer the ability to express themselves in various ways, whether modest and subdued or dazzling and vivacious.

What if one diamond necklace could become an entirely different piece of jewelry?

For this custom project, we sourced two beautiful pear-shaped diamonds, approximately 3 carats each, and designed the piece around not only how they looked, but how they could be worn.

Together, the two pear-shaped diamonds form the center of the heart pendant. But the most special detail is one you might not notice at first glance: they’re removable.

The back of the pendant was carefully engineered with small screws, allowing the diamond components to be removed from the necklace and attached to hoops, transforming them into earrings. One custom design, with two completely different ways to wear it.

But this necklace was only the beginning.

We later created two additional necklaces for her daughters, each featuring approximately 4 carats total weight. Rather than creating exact matches, we designed each necklace to feel connected to the original while still giving each daughter something distinctly her own.

The result is a collection of three pieces that feel individual, yet beautifully tied together.

To me, this is what makes custom jewelry so special. We aren’t limited to choosing a setting and placing stones inside it. We can think about versatility, engineering, family, and how each piece becomes part of a much bigger story.
