The anchor and dolphin symbol represents the adage "festina lente", Latin for "make haste slowly". The dolphin represents "haste", the anchor representing "slowly". To balance urgency with accuracy. This motif has historically appeared on Greek and Roman coins, and as printers marks. This ring was made in collaboration with Ibis Element, who carved the signet form by hand. A custom bracelet, based on the concept of a bracelet I made last year. I was inspired by the shiny objects birds collect which are sometimes gifted to people. Random assortments deemed valuable enough to gift. This bracelet features tourmalines, quartz, vintage items from my collection, reclaimed diamonds, and a paperclip clasp. One of a kind, hand fabricated.
