Spotted: wearing Bulgari high jewelry watches at her and ’s wedding in Sicily this past weekend. As a Bulgari ambassador she could have chosen any watch. Naturally, she chose two, celebrating the milestone with one on each wrist.

Spotted: at the Gotham TV Awards wearing an Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 1017 in yellow gold. This reference is essentially a Royal Oak stripped down to almost nothing, which is exactly what makes it one of the more interesting ones.

The product of a collaboration with designer , this reference strips the dial to its essentials, removing both the hour markers and the date aperture entirely. As an AP ambassador, Ronson could reach for anything in the catalog. That he went with one of the most unconventional Royal Oaks of all says plenty.

Sold and authenticated by Bezel: Rolex’s Cosmograph Daytona “Panda” in Oystersteel. Introduced in 2023 for the model’s 60th anniversary, it carries the kind of color contrast that’s notably defined the most desirable Daytonas for decades.

The anniversary update went deeper than the dial. Rolex slimmed the subdial rings, framed the Cerachrom bezel in a thin metal edge, and reworked the proportions throughout, all while introducing the new Calibre 4131 underneath. Subtle in isolation, but together they make this the most refined version of the Daytona yet.

The Royal Oak was never supposed to need a tourbillon. The original concept was already complete: a steel luxury sports watch with proportions, finishing, and design unlike anything else on the market.

On paper, adding a flying tourbillon risks turning the focus away from the watch itself. In practice, the RD #3 does something far more difficult: it incorporates one of watchmaking’s most visually dramatic complications without losing what made the Royal Oak special in the first place.

May’s Most Wanted is here, and the list got serious. Nine of the ten are Rolex, the most one-sided this list has ever looked. No-date Subs, an Explorer II, GMTs, the Wimbledon. Collectors went straight for the core of the catalog.

The Bruce Wayne holds number one for a second straight month, the Wimbledon keeps climbing as its season nears, and the no-date Submariner lands on the list for the first time. The deeper we get, the clearer the pattern. When the field narrows, it narrows toward Rolex.

Sold and authenticated by Bezel: Audemars Piguet’s Royal Oak RD #3 in stainless steel, released in 2022 to mark the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary. For all fifty of those years, the “Jumbo” had never once carried a flying tourbillon.

That was the challenge AP set for itself here, taking a complication it had always reserved for cases of 41mm and larger and fitting it into the slim profile of the 39mm Jumbo. It took five years and an entirely new movement, the Calibre 2968, which at 3.4mm sits the tourbillon level with the dial rather than buried beneath it. While the original 1972 silhouette stays intact, everything within it does not.
