In honor of Halloween, I’ll be doing 7 eras. 7 QD looks (always rocking a caddie purse, of course 🫡)

By the 1980s, women’s golf was getting more competitive and gaining more attention! The LPGA was growing, prize money was increasing, and more women were making a career out of the sport.

Brands like Nike were changing the sportswear game, bringing a more athletic and casual approach to fashion.

And the outfits? Pastels, visors, oversized sweaters, Bermuda shorts, and matching sets. 💜 Honestly, some of these looks could walk onto a golf course today and nobody would question it lol.

The 80s girlies knew how to make a statement. 💕

By the 1960s, women’s golf was really taking off! The LPGA was growing, female golfers were gaining more recognition, and more women were making their way onto the course.

And the outfits? This is where things started getting FUN! Shorter skirts, bold colors, fun prints, and more fitted polos. Golf fashion was finally getting a little personality! 💃

Of course, women still weren’t welcome at every golf club, but that wasn’t stopping the girlies from making their mark.

1940s | 3 of 7

By the 1940s, women’s golf was gaining momentum, even though World War II put many tournaments and competitions on hold.

But the girlies weren’t going anywhere! Women continued playing, and by the end of the decade, professional women’s golf was starting to take shape. The LPGA would officially be founded in 1950!

And the outfits? Shorter skirts, tailored jackets, sweaters, and even trousers! Finally, some clothes you could actually swing a club in. 😂

We were getting closer to the golf girl era! 💕

By the 1920s, women’s golf was becoming more popular, and more girlies were making their way onto the course!

Women were competing in tournaments, joining golf clubs, and slowly challenging the idea that golf was a man’s game.

And the outfits? Skirts were getting shorter, corsets were on their way out, and women could finally swing a little more freely! Still plenty of layers, hats, and stockings though. 😂

Women had actually been playing golf for a while, but by the early 1900s, the game was finally becoming more organized for us girlies!

Women’s golf clubs and competitions were growing, although many clubs still didn’t give women the same access as men.

And the outfits? Corsets, petticoats, floor-length skirts, and hats. 🥵 Imagine trying to hit a decent drive wearing all that lol
