Field Journal // Recovered Object No. 08

Bearing the curious inscription SHIFT KEY, alongside a weathered tag marked Granby, Conn 1927, this recovered object feels less like ornament and more like instruction.

Some findings ask to be admired. Others suggest movement, a turn, a threshold, a change in course. A shift.

Purpose uncertain. Timing… perhaps not. ⚙️✨

Field Journal // Recovered Object No. 07

A curious vessel bearing the name Artezin appeared during today’s findings… a reminder that sometimes objects seem to choose their keepers.

Salvaged fragments, tiny mechanisms, forgotten curiosities.

Most curious of all: the cork vessel appears capable of floating if needed, suggesting it may have been made for journeys rather than safekeeping.

Function still unknown. ⚙️✨

Field Journal #012

Resonance Marker: Classification Pending

Recovered near lower stoneworks. Position partially obscured beneath collapsed material.

Observed anomaly: Secondary marker present.

Inscription reads:

3/4

Meaning unclear.

Wear pattern suggests repeated handling. Surface retains unusual warmth despite prolonged environmental exposure.

The symbol appears familiar, though no matching civic designation has yet been recovered.

Preliminary classification suggests a possible Resonance Marker; an object associated with thresholds, navigation, memory, or restricted passage.

It does not appear devotional.

It appears directional.

Always remember, some paths are not hidden because they are lost. Some paths wait for the correct person to remember where they begin.

𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗹 #011

𝗕𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗞𝗲𝘆: 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴

Condition, still green. Still warm.

Observed anomaly: Crystal attachment present at recovery. Origin unclear.

The crystal does not appear to belong to the original construction.

Someone added it. Someone wanted it to remember something.

Preliminary classification suggests a possible Boundary Key, an object traditionally associated with crossings, thresholds, uncertain travel, and beginnings disguised as endings.

Always remember, some keys do not open strange rooms. Some keys open strange rooms to questions.

𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆: 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲

Recovered from the lower roads. Still on its wheels.

It was a child’s toy once, before the collapse, before everything fell quiet. Small enough to fit in a pocket. Someone kept it that way.

The hand-rolled paper beads along the chain carry fragments of text from before. What they say depends on which one you hold up to the light.

Some things survive because someone refused to let them go.

𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 — 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗢𝗯𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀, 𝗢𝗻𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝘁𝗲

They were found together. That detail was noted and then quietly removed from the official record.

A breathing apparatus. A face that remembers the moon. The skull of something that once carried messages between districts. A winged form, crystallized — origin unconfirmed.

Why these four objects were in the same location has not been explained.

𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗨𝗻𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 — 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲

Recovered designations, assembled together. WANDER. BELIEVE. ARTFUL. CHERISH. IMAGINE. Each tag was found separately. In different districts. From different time periods. Someone, or something, decided they belonged together.

Also recovered at the same site: a necklace with a small tag marked FOUND, attached to a clockwork bird in mid-flight and oddly, an ancient laundry tag. Whether FOUND refers to the bird, or to the district of origin, G-13, remains unclear. G-13 does not appear in any official district registry.

The numbers attached to each word have not been matched to any known registry, but feel vaguely familiar, nonetheless.

Cathedral Fragment Series — Undocumented

Recovered from a structure (cathedral?) in the lower district. The stained glass windows had been destroyed — deliberately or otherwise, records do not say.

The children found the pieces first. Gathered them. The colored glass still catches light the way it was designed to — just differently now.

The TAB KEY pendant was found nearby. What it accessed is unknown.

Compass Medallion — DESTINY 5890

Navigation device. Post-collapse manufacture uncertain. The compass face remains intact but has not pointed true north since recovery.

Accompanying the medallion: a small sealed container, recovered alongside it. Contents: two earrings. Whether they were placed there deliberately or simply survived transit is unknown.

The tag reads DESTINY. No corresponding registry entry exists.

It still points somewhere.

ARTFUL 1375 — Winged Figure, Recovered
Designation: ARTFUL. Number: 1375. What it unlocks: unknown.

The winged figure predates the collapse. The clock behind it stopped at the same time they all did. The crystals surrounding it at recovery site suggest Undineheim proximity.

Some artifacts remember more than they should.
