I've been covering Sympathy for the Devil at bars for years, probably more than any song. I still do it because it's something like malleable. You can do it many, many ways and the solo is always a chance to do something creative within a cover song.

Last night got to see my band mates playing in Poison Politix. DDP has done quite a few shows with this band going back to 2015 or so, different line up then except for Paul A Tix aka Tommy Travieso who has been there since the start. This band has kept it going since 2007.

Richard Granville had his debut last night as a lead singer and it was impressive. Look to see DDP and Poison Politix on the same bill again soon, maybe at a dive bar near you
