Doing what I love, alongside my best friend, for a cause that means everything to us.

As many of you know, giving back is a huge part of my jewelry brand. My best friend (who I met 18 years ago in college) has two incredible boys—and her oldest, Corey, has autism. Getting to know Corey and seeing the world through his eyes has been one of the greatest gifts.

For Autism Awareness Month, we teamed up with to host a jewelry event supporting - an organization that creates incredible moments for people all over the world with autism through surfing.

3 years and 241 days separate my first video of being hospitalized with Multiple Sclerosis on 8/5/22 to present. Back then, all I wanted was to raise awareness. So often I heard, “You look great, you must be doing well…” Why should taking care of myself and looking my best dictate my level of disability? Why should disability have a look? You never know what someone is going through. MS can be an invisible disease.

Fast forward to present: I’m stronger than ever. Most days, I forget I even have MS. I’ve grown my jewelry business and worked on dream worthy projects, moved across the country, and have built incredible relationships. MS affects everyone differently, and while my struggles have changed, the goal remains the same: to challenge assumptions about what living with a disability means. We are just as strong, we live full lives, and we are no less than everyone else.

The last video shows me learning how to ride a bike a couple of weeks ago—a reminder that growth and strength come in so many forms.
