Last Saturday, I had the opportunity to attend camp in Malibu, an incredible organization that provides free surf camps for autistic children around the world. Their mission goes far beyond a day at the beach. Through the simple act of riding waves, they challenge assumptions about what’s possible, empower children to engage with the world around them, and celebrate the unique gifts every person brings.

The inclusion, excitement, support, confidence, and pride were everywhere. It was impossible not to feel it. I left with a full heart and so much gratitude for the families, volunteers, and community that make this experience possible. What a gift it was to be there.

If you scroll through the photos, you’ll spot the adorable boy in one of them—that’s Corey, my best friend’s oldest son. He is not only the inspiration behind this collection, but someone who has beautifully opened my eyes to seeing the world from a different perspective. Through him, I’ve become more thoughtful in my words, more understanding, and have been welcomed into an incredible community with open arms that I wouldn’t have known otherwise.
