Hunt & Gather Welcome to Hunt & Gather, an eclectic shop in Lubec, Maine. Leaf Kraft is a multi-media artist whose main focus is finely crafted jewelry.

Leaf’s interest in jewelry began at an early age while playing in her grandmother’s jewelry box and has continued to grow ever since. It was honed through many years of working for importers. Leaf began her training over twenty years ago at Bucks County Community College where she studied silversmithing and glass blowing. She continued her education as an apprentice to Darryl MacLeod of MacLeod of

Cape Breton. Leaf’s current medium is precious metal clay which mimics traditional lost wax casting while being completely non-toxic. Leaf makes all of her own molds using items ranging from Victorian buttons to crab claws and sea urchins. These are true mixed metal pieces, the bulk of which are solid bronze or copper embellished with sterling silver, stainless steel and gold-filled metals. Leaf strives to source as many of her materials as possible from the United States. Each piece is individually and lovingly hand-made by Leaf right here in Lubec, Maine.

Come to my jewelry repair workshop at Lubec Library 🙂

save the date! just in time for Mother's Day ~ Leaf Kraft will teach basic repair techniques for jewelry, such as replacing findings, adjusting chain length, etc. Bring tools and replacement pieces if you have them, otherwise bring cash to buy replacements if needed. Drop-in anytime between 10:30 and 1:30.
