if you're new here, hi.
I'm Alyssa, a Virginia-based maker and the hands behind Akay Collective.
Every piece you see here was hand-sculpted by me, in my home, probably with Lykke Li or Lauryn Hill playing in the background.
It started in 2019 when I discovered polymer clay and kind of never stopped. What began as a creative outlet quietly became a small business, and I'm so grateful for it.
Honestly? It hasn't always been a straight line. Like a lot of makers, I've spent time chasing what sells and lost myself a little in the process. But I keep coming back to the same truth.. the pieces I make that feel most like me are always the ones I'm most proud of, and usually the ones you respond to most too. So that's what I'm committed to.
Everything I make is intentional.. handcrafted in small batches with gold-filled and titanium hardware, designed for women who are particular about what they wear and why.
When I'm not in clay mode, I'm usually spending time with my pup (scroll to see Jaxie), deep in a psychological thriller series or true crime rabbit hole, or working through my psychological thriller or historical fiction TBR. 📖 If you have recs, please send them.🖤🖤 Favorites lately include The Butterfly Garden series and anything by Tiffany Jackson.
I make things for women who are bold, a little particular, and not really interested in jewelry that everyone else is wearing.
If that's you, welcome.
