This inspiration hit me like a rock!

Over 10 years ago, while working a festival in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, a woman stopped at my booth wearing the coolest bracelet I’d ever seen.

What caught my attention was that it looked like three bracelets in one, with a pearl in the center. I’d never seen anything like it.

I actually grabbed her wrist and said, “Where did you get that? I love it!”

She told me she was from California and had purchased it at a small local boutique. I asked if I could take a photo, and she happily agreed.

The entire drive home, I couldn’t stop thinking about that bracelet. I had an idea: what if I created my own version using authentic sea glass from my New England beach hunts?

The next day, I gathered my supplies and made a single bracelet inspired by the one she was wearing. The bracelet in the second photo was the result.

As a thank-you for inspiring me, I mailed it to her in California. She was thrilled.

What I didn’t know was that this one bracelet would become the foundation for my best-selling Leather Wrap design. Since then, I’ve handcrafted well over a thousand of them, and they’ve found homes all over the world.

Funny how a chance encounter, a photograph, and a piece of sea glass can change the course of a business.

💙 Inspiration is everywhere. Sometimes it arrives wearing a bracelet.

This is my favorite Customer Request. She reached out to ask if I could make a pendant from a piece of sea glass her fiance found on their first date. “Of course! That’s what I do.”

When I received it my first reaction was “This is still glass!” It wasn’t at all frosted or smooth. But I told her I would so I did.
I couldn’t believe the transformation when I wrapped it in sterling silver!

I’ve been known to do a few summer weddings 🤍

It’s such a thrill to see a bride and her maids walk down the aisle wearing jewelry I made. Many of these pieces started as sea glass found on beach hunts with my grandchildren or closest friends…transformed into something beautiful for a new beginning. ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

This was an attempt at a copper bracelet when I first started making jewelry 14 years ago.
I can remember taking the torch and tools outside because my husband was afraid I’d burn the house down.
I hammered on the cement sidewalk to flatten the copper wire my son gave me from an electrical job. No clue what I was doing but it was really fun. My creative juices were flowing that day…
