POSTING THIS TO SPREAD AWARENESS.
We have also contacted the Manitowoc Police Department to make them aware.

We have a group of people targeting Manitowoc with a fake gold scam. They are approaching people on the street, at WalMart, local gas stations, etc. with a story of โ€œneeding gas money to get home to another stateโ€. They then offer jewelry in exchange for cash.

These people are SCAMMERS.
This jewelry is NOT REAL GOLD.

We have now seen and heard this same story from innocent people 3 different times in the last 3 days.

Be smart, use your judgement, and donโ€™t fall for these tricks. If possible please collect images and or license plate numbers which we can share with local Police.

Share and letโ€™s get these people caught!!!
