Our Story

Peirano Jewelers is a family owned and operated business located in Martinez, Ca. Being a family business we strive to make everyone who walks in our door feel comfortable and at ease; jewelry can be stressful and we don’t want our customers to feel this way! We focus a lot on education at Peirano Jewelers, we like to give you as much information as we can so that you can make the best choice that fits your needs and of course budget!

We specialize in jewelry repair and design. All of our jewelry repairs and custom orders are done by Jim at his shop in Pleasant Hill. No we do not have two locations, this is solely his shop where all the magic happens! Jim has been in the jewelry business since the 1970’s doing various work for private customers as well as repairs and special orders for many, many retail shops in the area: Macy’s, Emporium at Capwells, Smith Jewelers in Danville to name just a short few! Jim has also taught jewerly for the Pleasant Hill Adult Education program, the Crucible in Oakland, and was the Pleasant Hill 4-H Jewelry project leader!

Valerie (Jim’s daughter and the lady you’ll most likely meet when you come in!) started off wanting to be a high school English teacher and pursued that for about eight years of substitute teaching when the opportunity arose for her and her dad to open Peirano Jewelers. Valerie is in the process of getting her Graduate Gemologist degree and has really found her calling in the jewelry industry!
