My first order of Gentian Wood. This is harvested from the Yellow Gentian plant found in central and southern Europe and is used by watchmakers for polishing and hand finishing of watch parts.

The Gentian plant can also be found, reportedly, in the western US, although I haven’t found a supplier yet. 🤔

Note to self. When cutting thin, lightweight aluminum on the laser, turn down the suction on the exhaust fan, or put a grill in front. Otherwise, you end up having to take the exhaust lines apart to find the custom dial that just got sucked up. 🤦‍♂️
