At unooggi, we believe that every piece of jewelry tells a story. Unooggi was founded in 2017. This condition as you could imagine changed my life dramatically.

After working in the graphic arts industry for over 25 years I suddenly suffered from a condition called NAION and became legally blind. After trying many new hobbies with my new condition I found that working with beads and knots to be therapeutic. Creating these pieces keeps my mind relaxed. It helps me understand that I need to keep focused on today, that there are countless yesterdays and many

tomorrows, but there is only "one today"-"uno oggi". At the end of each bracelet you will find a single wood bead to help remind you of just this.
