Jaylen and Kaili met on August 18, 2021, as freshmen in college. Both athletes, Jaylen was on the Men’s Basketball Team, while Kaili was on the Women’s Volleyball Team. They hung out with the same people, but despite being around each other, they never really spoke. Jaylen was quietly interested in Kaili, although she had no idea for a while. It wasn’t until they decided to hang out on September 19, 2021, that they finally got to know each other better. From that night on, they were inseparable.

They quickly became friends, spent time together often, supported each other at games, and never went a day without talking. What began as a quiet interest 5 years ago, soon grew into a meaningful friendship and, eventually, something much more.

When it came time to pop the question, Jaylen turned to Sissy’s. "Working with Sissy’s was amazing,” said Jaylen. “They made the process fun and enjoyable. Specifically, Wyatt was great and very passionate about making the ring special.”
